No prior experience is needed. The calm bay-side waters of Gasparilla Island are ideal for beginners. Our team provides a brief on-shore lesson covering stance, paddling technique, and how to fall safely before you launch.

Every rental includes a stand-up paddleboard, paddle, personal flotation device (PFD), and a leash. We also provide a safety briefing and launch assistance.

Early morning is ideal year-round — the water is glassy calm and the light is spectacular. October through May offers the most consistent conditions. Summer mornings are beautiful, though afternoon thunderstorms are common from June through September.
