No experience is necessary. The bay-side waters of Gasparilla Island are calm and shallow, making them ideal for first-time paddlers. Our team provides a full orientation before you launch, including paddle technique, safety guidelines, and recommended routes.

Every rental includes a sit-on-top kayak, paddle, personal flotation device (PFD), dry bag, and a waterproof route map. We also provide a full safety briefing and launch assistance.

We offer hourly, half-day (4-hour), and full-day rentals. Most guests find a half-day rental gives them plenty of time to explore the mangrove tunnels and the bay. Rentals start at $45.

Yes — the mangrove tunnels along the northern shore of Gasparilla Island are easily accessible from our launch point. The paddle is approximately 20–30 minutes and is suitable for all skill levels on calm days.

November through May offers the best conditions — calm winds, comfortable temperatures, and excellent wildlife viewing. Manatees are frequently spotted in the bay from December through March. Summer paddling is also enjoyable, though afternoon thunderstorms are common from June through September.

Our sit-on-top kayaks accommodate paddlers up to 300 lbs. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult. We have tandem kayaks available for families or couples who prefer to paddle together.
